Ngila Estate - Yellow honey process
Ngila coffee estate is located at 1500-1600 MASL near the conservation area of Ngorongoro crater in northern Tanzania. Founded in the 1920s, on the edge of the cloud forest. Ngila boasts mineral rich volcanic soil, perfect for coffee growing. Ngila farmers continue to grow & develop phenomenal microlots. This coffee is handpicked, the skin & pulp removed leaving some or all of the mucilage. The mucilage is sticky & sweet, similar to honey. Beans are then dried for two weeks to give them a juicy sweetness with rich but balanced acidity. A complex cup with delicate notes of stonefruit, berries & black tea.
