Hambela - Ethiopian Guji
Hambela produces some of the most exotic varieties coming out of Ethiopia. A farm rich is history, after WWII this estate was awarded to Muluemebet Emiru from Emperor Haile Selassie as recognition of her achievements. Muluemebet was the first female pilot from Africa. With the help of her family Muluemebet transformed the land into what is now known as Hambela Coffee Estate.
Today her family continues to operate the farm through their agricultural business METAD. Her legacy continues with her grandson Aman Adinew. At the forefront of their business operations Adinew has worked to support the surrounding community at large and empower women with continued health care initiatives & education.
We are proud to offer this selection from Hambela estate. This washed coffee has been hand picked, washed & sundried to ensure clean & elegant tones with great cup clarity. Subtle citrus notes shine through, with hints of juicy honey & berries. A perfect addition to your morning coffee selection.
